vokiThis tool has multiple uses. It is not a strong presentation tool, but is good for short bits of information. I use this at the beginning of my Digital Design. I have the students create a VOKI that favors them. They can either make the VOKI talk (saying something about the student, sort of as an introduction) or take a screen shot of the avatar and paste that on a PowerPoint slide that then describes the student. I also tell them that this is the first opportunity for me to see their design abilities. They have a lot of fun with this.
VOKI also has a presentation tool with limited features. |
HTML 5 MakerThis is a great tool that allows students to create an animated banner for a web site or other online purpose, without knowing HTML 5. The negative of this site is that it will only store one animation at a time, unless you purchase the upgrade. But that is an easy fix because once the animation is created, you just download it. Then you have it saved and can create another. You won't be able to edit that downloaded one, so make sure it is correct before downloading!

piskelI haven't actually used this yet, but I plan to in Digital Design when we get to animation. Several of my students are already using it and having fun. Create an account, log on, and start creating! You can download the animated .gif when done and use it the same way you would use other animated graphics. You can actually access the editor without even logging in.
